For today’s workout I decided to give this pre-workout another chance, as the first time I tried it,
I could barely notice any effect. It’s called Powder Burn, and is part of RIVALUS’ BLAQSERIES supplements.
It does contain several excellent additives, most notable for me is the use of Citrulline Malate instead of
simply using L-Arginine. This is a new trend which I hope some of the other large companies follow.
The question now: Is it worth your money? Let’s find out.
Name: Powder Burn
Overall Rating: 6.8⁄10
Initial Kick: 5⁄10
Solubility in Water: 9⁄10
Final Thoughts: A good pre-workout, spoiled completely by the awful taste. My low score is affected greatly by the Lime flavour, which was chemically, and left a bad aftertaste that lingered for the entire workout (2.5hrs). This supplement provided ok-good vascularity, and was very quiet in it’s approach, much like MusclePharm’s Assault. It did not hit me right away like some other pre-workouts, but it did offer a few more reps when I needed them doing today’s chest workout. It used a small scoop, and cones in a compact container which is convenient for storing. Mixed very well with water leaving few white particles which would not dissolve. Right after mixing the froth was almost non-existent.
At this time, I cannot say for sure if I recommend this pre-workout or not, simply due to the terrible flavour that tainted my view. As far as the effects go, it works well. Just pick a better flavour!
